Shaken but not Moved

I woke up early to have some prayer time before leaving our hotel for a busy day of ministry in the city of Yangon. Suddenly, I felt the floor under my feet began to shake. Then the whole building begin to sway back and forth. I quickly ran to the window of my room on the 11th floor and saw people rushing out into the street. Earthquake! For a brief moment, I remember thinking, “Lord, if this building collapses, I have a long way to fall.” Gratefully, the mild earthquake (5.2) caused no apparent damage and we had a wonderful day sharing the Gospel on the streets of Yangon.

During the week, we had the opportunity to conduct training sessions for two hundred church leaders, helped dedicate a new church plant in an unreached village and helped distribute food and provisions in a camp for displaced people. It is always a joy to get to partner with our dear Pastor Ling and his family as they share the Gospel message in this very broken land. The church continues to reach new people every week through their ministry to orphans and refugees.

Your support has enabled us to continue to work side by side with Pastor Ling’s ministry to provide much needed provisions for hundreds of people. Our plan is to return in November with a team of volunteers to continue the mission to Burma. Without your prayers and support, we would be unable to go. We are eternally grateful for each of you who partner with this ministry.
